This combination of Tanzania and Kenya safari is designed to give the travelers a bit of both Tanzania safari tours and Kenya safari experience only in the matter of 8 days.
The tour can either start in Kenya and end in Tanzania but per this itinerary is planned to start in Tanzania. But depending on our traveler’s plan or preference we can change this plan and start in either Kenya or Tanzania.
Day 1: Arrival!
Beginning of your Tanzania and Kenya safari excursion. Arriving at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be warmly welcomed by one of our experienced driver guides, ready to greet and escort you to Gold Crest Hotel in Arusha.
Day 02: Arusha – Ngorongoro Crater (approx. 3.5 hrs. drive)
After breakfast, depart for Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend to the crater floor for a game viewing drive with picnic lunches in the Crater, no doubt this will be the best start of your Tanzania and Kenya safari excursion.
-About Ngorongoro
This protected area is located in the Great Rift Valley and is also known as the eighth wonder of the world. Here you will explore the forest areas inhabited by monkeys and elephants as well as the lake area where you may see flamingos. You will also visit the open Savannah where the lions hunt.
The Ngorongoro Crater has one of the largest concentrations of wildlife in Africa; 30,000 animals make their home in this crater, making it an ideal place for sightings of the ‘Big Five‘ – lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo, and leopard. Our driver/guide will be in contact with other safari drivers and will amaze you with their skill at locating the hidden animals.
After a great day of exploration in the crater, the driver will take you to your lodge which is located on the crater rim.. Dinner and overnight at NGORONGORO SERENA LODGE or Ngorongoro Heritage Luxury Tented Camp (Full Board)

Day 3: Ngorongoro – Serengeti National Park ( 3.00 – 3.5 hrs )
After breakfast, we leave around 08:00 am and drive from Ngorongoro with packed lunch, en route to the great Serengeti Plains which indeed will be highlights of your Tanzania and Kenya safari excursion. Today, you will get to do a half day game drive in the Serengeti. Overnight at Serengeti Heritage Luxury Tented Camp (Full Board)

About Serengeti Endless Plains:
The Serengeti National Park, covering 14,763 square kilometers, is one of the world’s largest wildlife sanctuaries. One of the most breathtaking events in the animal kingdom, the migration of thousands of wildebeest, takes place here every year.
This happens between Masai Mara and Serengeti and the combination of Tanzania and Kenya safari will give you a chance to see both famous Serengeti and Masai Mara.
Days 04: Full day in Serengeti National Park
Today you will enjoy a full day of game viewing in the Serengeti National Park before your Tanzania and Kenya safari excursion leads you across the border on the side of Kenya to Masai Mara.
As the sun rises on the Serengeti Plains, you will enjoy breakfast while anticipating the wondrous sites that are in store for the day.
The day will be spent enjoying a game drive exploring the vast plains and woodlands of the park. Expect to spot a large variety of wildlife. Later in the afternoon, return to the lodge for a well-earned sun-downer before your evening meal. Meals and overnight at SERENGETI Heritage Luxury Camp (FB)

Day 5: Serengeti – Masai Mara
Today your Tanzania and Kenya safari takes you across the border. So,enjoy your last day in the Serengeti while doing a game en-route to Isebania border between Serengeti and Masai Mara.
Today you will be served with an early morning breakfast and packed lunch to have it at the border crossing into Masai Mara. Here you will say goodbye to your driver guide from Tanzania and start your Masai Mara safari with a new driver guide from Kenya.
The new driver guide will pick you up at Isebania border at around 01.00pm then drive to Mara through Oloolo gate with the en route game drive. You will enter the vast grassy plains of the reserve (the jewel of Kenya’s game park), located in the northern section of the great Serengeti plains.
This is home to the “Big Five”: Elephant, Lion, Leopard, Buffalo, and Rhino, as well as thousands of the greater and lesser plains game. Everything seems to be magnified here. Lunch will be en route. Dinner and overnight Sopa lodge.

Day 6: Full Day in Masai Mara
After breakfast, enjoy a full day game drive exploring the park in search of the Big Five. The Masai Mara Game Reserve is arguably Kenya’s most popular game sanctuary. It is the most famous and most visited game reserve in Kenya. The film Out of Africa was made to a great extent in this reserve.
Wildebeest Migration.
A spectacle worth seeing is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle from Serengeti plains across the Tanzania border and the Mara River to reach Masai Mara grazing fields from late June.
The dramatic crossing of the river and the preying on the migrants by predators can be viewed from early July to mid-October.
The combination of Tanzania and Kenya safari give chance to witness this extraordinary wildlife migration, in either park based on the time of the year. Picnic lunch will be provided.
You have the option of visiting the Masai Village to learn about the Masai culture. Dinner and overnight at Olmoran tented camp.

Day 7: Masai Mara – Nairobi
Today will be the end of your Tanzania and Kenya safari excursion. So, early morning game drives. Breakfast will be served at the camp/lodge then drive to Nairobi via Narok with a stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint. Enjoy lunch en route, and then arrive at your hotel in Nairobi for dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Nairobi – Jomo Kenyatta Airport (Last day of the Tour!)
After breakfast, leave Nairobi to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport ready to catch your flight back home or to your next destination. We hope you enjoyed your Tanzania and Kenya safari excursion!
