This is a perfect mix of luxury safari with both tented camps and lodge accommodation. 

Safari itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival!

You will be met at the airport upon your arrival by one our Zazu Tanzania Safaris staff and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Upon arrival set in the hotel and get ready for your Tanzania luxury safari the next day.

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Today is the beginning of your Tanzania luxury safari where you set up early in the morning after breakfast. Depart to Tarangire National park with packed lunch. The drive time from the hotel to Tarangire is about 2 hours, upon arrival check in at the gate and start the game drive.

What to Expect Today.

It’s possible to start spotting animals right away upon entry to the park gate. The lunch box will be served at the picnic site inside the park, where you will enjoy your lunch box while viewing the wildlife around the picnic site. Possibly elephants, antelopes, and monkeys. After lunch, continue with the game viewing for the rest of the afternoon. Later in the evening, head to the lodge near Lake Manyara for dinner and overnight

Activities: Game Drive in Tarangire

Day 3: Tarangire – Serengeti

After breakfast drive from Tarangire to Serengeti via Ngorongoro conservation area with your packed lunch. You will stop at the crater rim for the crater view. Upon arrival to the Serengeti continue with game drive until late in the evening. Thereafter head to your luxury safari tented camp for dinner & overnight.

This will be the highlight of your Tanzania luxury safari, as Serengeti National Park is one of the places you shouldn’t miss when visiting Tanzania. The other parks are definitely worth visiting but Serengeti is by far one of the best among all.

One of the most breathtaking events in the animal kingdom, the migration of thousands of wildebeest takes place here every year. The Serengeti, 320 kilometers from Arusha, was gazetted in 1951. It was accepted by the World Heritage Convention as a World Heritage Site and Biosphere Reserve in 1981. The luxury safari tented camp you will be staying is located at the heart of Serengeti.

DAY 4: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

The next two days will be the highlight of your private guided safari to Tanzania’s best. The 15,000 square kilometer (5,791 square miles) Serengeti is arguably the most well-known safari hotspot worldwide. Think vast horizons dotted with acacia trees and an immense variety of wildlife.

What to Expect.

We’ve included a game drive and depending on the season of your visit, you can anticipate the thundering hooves of the wildebeest migration – a majestic sight that leaves one breathless and thrilled. Your days in the Serengeti are yours to spend as you please and your private guide will happily show you around. So, enjoy the far-reaching Africa horizon.

Day 5: Serengeti – Ngorongoro

After breakfast, enjoy the last-minute morning game viewing before heading to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. On your way to Ngorongoro, you have a chance to stop at the Maasai Boma (Maasai traditional houses) to learn about their unique African culture. Later proceed to your luxury safari lodge located around Ngorongoro Crater Rim.

Activities: Game en route to Ngorongoro.

 Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

After breakfast, descend into the Crater floor for a game viewing drive with picnic lunches in the Crater. This protected area is located in the Great Rift Valley and is also known as the eighth wonder of the world.

Here you will explore the forest areas inhabited by monkeys and elephants, and the lake area where you may see flamingos. You will also visit the open savannah where the lions hunt.

Ngorongoro Crater.

The Ngorongoro Crater has one of the largest concentrations of wildlife in Africa; 30,000 animals make their home in this crater, making it an ideal place for sightings of the ‘Big Five’ – lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo, and leopard.

Our driver/guide will be in contact with other safari drivers and will amaze you with their skill at locating the hidden animals. After a great day of exploration in the crater, you will ascend the crater and head back to Arusha.
